This is the 1st leadership level in PADI. This rating denotes an individual who:

1. Has a high level of personal diving skill    2. Has Instructor-level knowledge of diving theory.    3. Had had significant training in how to assist an Instructor dive training activities    4 Able to assume responsibility for the welfare of divers under their control.    5. Learn Diving Physics, physiology, equipment, environment, RDP, and more.

There are 3 modules, Watermanship and Skills Assessment, Knowledge Development, and Practical Application. The last module also involves an internship with the Instructor during various levels of instruction.
